SUMMARY OF OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
At the Positive Psychology Association of Kenya (PPAK), our mission is to enhance well-being and promote positive psychology across communities. To achieve this, we have identified five core strategic areas that guide our efforts:
COMMUNICATION STRATEGY.
We are committed to raising awareness and understanding of positive psychology through a robust communication strategy. By clearly articulating our mission and the benefits of positive psychology, we aim to increase visibility, grow our membership, and build credibility. Our focus is on creating strong collaborations, influencing policy, and promoting our certification programs both locally and globally.
CHARACTER COACHES TRAINING LICENSED BY KICD.
To establish credibility in the field, PPAK is pursuing licensing for our Character Coaches Training program through the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). By aligning our training with KICD's guidelines, we aim to offer a recognized and respected certification program that supports the development of character strengths in individuals and organizations.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMNET &
MEMBER PARTICIPATION
PPAK is fostering a vibrant and engaged community by enhancing member participation and outreach. We are actively engaging diverse communities, promoting well-being initiatives, and building partnerships that extend our reach. Our goal is to create a strong, supportive network of individuals and organizations committed to the principles of positive psychology.
ACCREDATION AS A TRAINING BODY:
PPAK is working towards becoming an accredited training body in positive psychology and well-being. We are aligning our curriculum, faculty, and resources with industry standards, ensuring that our programs meet or exceed accreditation requirements. This strategic focus will establish PPAK as a leader in positive psychology training.
RESEARCH INITIATIVE
We are strengthening our contribution to the positive psychology field by developing a dedicated research arm within PPAK. This initiative includes a mentorship program to nurture aspiring researchers and a focus on producing impactful research that informs practice and policy in positive psychology.
Together, these strategic priorities position PPAK as a leader in promoting well-being through positive psychology, both in Kenya and beyond.
